They are dry (so dry...where is my nivea???) from all of my work with the soil and my cuticles are torn and permanently stained again from all of the soil. I've cut my fingernails very short in an effort to keep them appearing clean but it is useless. This is the way my hands will look probably through September with every line in them showing on each finger as the dirt has been pressed so tightly into the skin. A few weeks ago ...I wished for cleaner hands but now they are a part of me and when I was stuffing popcorn into my mouth at the greenhouse today I didn't even think "Oh I need to wash my hands." They are what they are and thank goodness they work! They are useful, busy hands and I'm happy!!
