ABOUT US!!

This blog is no longer maintained from el ranchito, el derramadero, in the region of Guanajuato, Mexico, by Daniel Escutia and Rebekah Albert.  Following the maintenance in Mexico, we moved to a family farm near Bloomington-Normal, Illinois,  for about nine months.  Following the farm, we lived in a home in the northish-west suburbs of Chicago.  Following this home, we moved to Evanston, Illinois, and maintained the blog, becoming runners and continu-ing life-ing until March of 2010…WHEN we left Evanston, and Rebekah returned to Henry’s farm for another nine months, and Daniel moved to the west side of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in New Mexico with the dogs.  For these nine months, the blog was maintained from two separate locales.  As of December 2010, the family-buds (Daniel, Rebekah, Tunas, Nata) are reunited and living somewhere between Las Vegas, New Mexico, and Taos, New Mexico, at about 7600 feet in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.  We still like kitty-cats, doggies, vegetables, dancing, jumping-rope, yogurt, harry potter, honey, bike-riding, felt, exploring, connecting, cooking, eating, walking, being, butterflies, yoga, reading, wikipedia, raw milk and cooked milk, making stuff, instruments, ollas, fire-cooking, energy, spirits, coffee, “tea,” lemons slash limes, beans, growing stuff, doing what we do when we do it, liking what we like when we like it. !!

  4. I don’t know Mari! other than through this blog and that one message she sent me! I have been to the Journeyman though and my parents used to love the Journeyman’s breads, especially seedy salt. So, when Journeyman closed, my parents were bummed and I ventured to re-create the bread for them. Approximately I know how to make seedy salt bread, but it is not the exact recipe– it’s my own based on a list of their ingredients. nom nom nom. I will call you soon-
